Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has kicked off a whole new trilogy of feature film releases, and now there’s a way to catch up in case you want to see what’s next after that big cliffhanger. This new film has officially sparked a new trilogy adapting the massive Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga series, and unfortunately it has quite a lot of ground to cover with the final two films. That means that fans waiting to see what’s next are likely going to need to wait for a while before this trilogy continues with its next entry.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is the first in a new trilogy, and has a longer run time than many of the Avengers films. With it adapting the Infinity Castle arc from the manga pretty much directly (give or take a few adjustments for length), there’s actually a place in the manga that you can start reading next to see what’s coming in the Infinity Castle’s final battles. The full breakdown is below, but warning as there are some spoilers for the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film.

Where to Start Demon Slayer’s Manga After Infinity Castle

ufotable

The Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotoge’s original Demon Slayer manga officially starts at Chapter 140 of the series and lasts through to at least Chapter 180 of the manga series. Give or take a few events depending on how the films decide to adapt the final chapters of the series, this means we’ll be seeing nearly 20 chapters with each of the films. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle‘s first film wraps up around mid Chapter 157 of the series, and that’s where you should start if you want to pick up with the rest of arc.

Demon Slayer has yet to confirm whether or not the franchise will actually adapt to the end of the manga, and that could be possible before this new trilogy is all over. With 205 chapters of the manga left overall, it’s highly possible that the movies could bring it all to an end depending on the kind of pace that we’ll get from the following two films. But this first one adapts 17 chapters or so, and that means that it’s really running forward at a steady clip for its final two films.

What’s Next for the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movies?

ufotable

The first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film adapts the fights between Tanjiro and Giyu against Akaza, Zenitsu and Kaigaku, and Doma and Shinobu. The first film officially caps off these fights, so the follow up films will be taking on the next wave of the key fights for the series. As the films continue in the future, it might be a much longer wait before fans get to see the next movie in the trilogy. No release window has yet to be announced at this time, so the manga might be the route to go if desperately want to see what’s next for Tanjiro and the others.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has been absolutely dominating theaters in the United States since it dropped this weekend, and with it has opened the doors to its final two films. There’s a lot of material that had been left on the ground floor because of the pacing for the films, so jumping into the manga might even be the best choice to see what didn’t make it to screen. Either way, Demon Slayer‘s manga is completely and ready to come to life in whatever way you decide to experience the Infinity Castle arc.
