Song Minho, a member of the group WINNER, who is suspected of working poorly during his service as a social service worker, such as leaving his workplace, was sent to the prosecution.

Mapo Police Station in Seoul said on the 23rd that it sent Song Minho to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of violating the Military Service Act on the 22nd.

Earlier, allegations were raised that Song Minho neglected his work by habitually being late or absent without permission while working as a social service worker at a resident convenience facility in Mapo-gu from March 2023 to December last year.

In response, the police booked Song Minho after receiving an investigation request from the Military Manpower Administration in December last year. In a police investigation, Song Minho was found to have generally admitted to leaving his workplace during working hours.

The National Police Agency’s National Investigation Headquarters announced at a regular press conference on the 12th that it is conducting a reinforcement investigation based on data obtained through seizure and communication investigations regarding Song Minho’s alleged poor service and will close the case soon.

Meanwhile, the Military Manpower Administration reportedly said that if Song Minho was found to have had a problem with his service attitude during the police investigation, he should cancel the cancellation and re-serve for the duration.

WINNER, a group that Song Minho belongs to, will hold “2025 WINNER CONCERT [IN OUR CIRCLE]” at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park from July 26-27. It will be the first offline concert in about three years and three months. However, Song Minho will not be able to attend the concert.
