The Japanese publisher Kodansha announced today that the manga series »Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun« (Japanese: »Tenkaichi: Nihon Saikyou Bugeisha Ketteisen«) receives an anime adaptation. You can find a first visual below.

The anime implementation is a TV series that starts at an unknown time on Japanese television. Further details, such as those involved in production, are still pending.
The original manga series of the same name by Yousuke Nakamaru has been published since January 2021 with drawings by Kyouutarou Azuma in the weekly “Young Magazine” of the Kodansha publishing house in Japan.

Ten years after Oda Nobunaga’s agreement in Japan in 1600, a tournament is proclaimed to determine his successor, in which the most powerful warrior is to win. Various rival generals send their strongest fighters into the race for supremacy.
The first fight of this tournament is the meeting between Honda Tadakatsu and Miyamoto Musashi.
