The streaming service Crunchyroll announced today that the license on the original anime “Onmyo Kaiten Re: Birth Verses” was secured and will show it with subtitles in the Simulcast from July 2, 2025. You can find a new trailer below.

“Onmyo Kaiten Re: Birth Verse” is created under the direction of director Hideya Takahashi (“Anonymous Noise”) in the studio David Production. Hayashi Mori (“Sand Land”) writes the script, while Kazuaki Morita creates the character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Taihi Kimura (Rengo Nishino in “Flower and Asura”) can be heard as Takeru Narihira and Maaya Uchida (Tenka Izumo in “Demon Slave”) as Tsukimiya. Ryouhei Kimura sets the character Abeno Seimei.
“Onmyo Kaiten Re: Birth Verse” is the first original anime by David Production. The company previously only worked on anime adaptations, including “Fire Force”, “Undead Unluck” and “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”.

In a mystical version of the old kyoto, the rebellious student Takeru is transferred to the world by Denji Heian-Kyō after an accident. There he meets a woman from his dreams – and shortly afterwards loses his life in the fight against a monster.
But Takeru wakes up again: with the ability to turn the time back. To save them, he becomes onmyōji – a magician who faces dark powers.
