In a recent interview, a long-time “Dragon Ball” animator made his assessment to a possible remake of the series. We summarize.
Animator fuels remake rumors
The 62-year-old Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is undoubtedly a true “Dragon Ball” veteran, after all, he has been involved in its production as an animator since the anime adaptation started in 1986. Later he even contributed the character design for the episodes of Boo saga from “Dragon Ball Z” and “Dragon Ball Daima”.
Nakatsuru is well known for die-hard “Dragon Ball” fans and enjoys great respect, which is why it is not surprising that the recent statement by the animator was quite high as part of an interview:
»The original work exists and from there there are many ways to develop a new series. I think it will happen one day and I also think that it is not so important whether I will take part or not. “
According to him, it might not be bad if younger people implement any remake. Because that would open up completely new possibilities and maybe even create a creation, which even exceeds the great imagination of Akira Toriyama. The most important thing, however, is that all the fans all over the world enjoy the franchise for as long as possible.
What do you think of these prospects? Would you like a remake of “Dragon Ball”? Let us know your opinion in the comments.
