The publisher Hardball Films recently announced that the license has been secured in the anime implementation of “Ouran High School Host Club” and will soon be released on Blu-ray. We summarize.
Release in two volumes
“Ouran High School Host Club” is expected to appear in two volumes with German and Japanese language version on Blu-ray in the course of this year. A concrete release date is still pending at the current time.
The studio Bones was responsible for the production of the 26-part Romance Comedy series, which was broadcast on Japanese television between April and September 2006, in which Takuya Igarashi (“Bungo Stray Dogs”) directed.
The anime is based on the Manga series of the same name by Bisco Hatori and was published in Germany in 2008 by the publisher Kazé Anime (Crunchyroll) with German setting and in the original sound with subtitles on DVD.
