The publisher Hardball Films announced today that the anime series “Hellsing” will soon be put on Blu-ray for the first time. We summarize.

The publication of “Hellsing” is therefore planned as a complete Blu-ray box, which contains all 13 episodes in German and Japanese. However, further details about the equipment and a releasing date have not yet been revealed.
Studio Gonzo was responsible for the production of the series, which was first ran on Japanese television from October 2001 to January 2002, at which Yasunori Urata (»Blood+«) directed the direction. Chiaki Konaka (“Air Gear”) wrote the script.
The anime adaptation of Kouta Hirano’s manga of the same name appeared in Germany in 2003 by OVA Films on DVD and most recently by Nipponart in a Blu-ray output edition. Both publishers also published the “Hellsing Ultimate”-OVA, which is an improved remake.
