New album to celebrate band’s 11th debut anniversary
Jannabi, a beloved band known for poetic, relatable music, is set to release its fourth studio album April 28.
A teaser video shared via the band’s official social media channels shows the duo dressed in crisp white shirts. The two are seen shaking hands formally and signing a document marked with the album’s release date.
An accompanying teaser image features lightning-inspired graphics alongside passport-style ID photos of the members.
The new album commemorates the 11th anniversary of Jannabi’s debut and marks the band’s first new release in approximately 1 year and 10 months since their single, “Pony” in June 2023.
Jannabi was formed in 2011 by vocalist Choi Jung-hoon, guitarist Kim Do-hyung and keyboardist Yoo Young-hyun. The group expanded to five members in 2015 with the addition of bassist Jang Kyung-joon and drummer Yoon Kyul. However, Yoo left the band in 2019 after admitting to school bullying and Yoon exited in 2021 following a suspension of indictment for assault, and Jang paused activities after getting married. The band is now continuing as a duo, led by Choi and Kim.
Ahead of the album’s release, Jannabi will hold a solo concert titled “All Boys and Girls 2025” at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on April 26 and 27.
