K-pop icon to take Coachella stage on April 13, 20
K-pop icon Jennie has teamed up with DJ and producer Peggy Gou for a stunning new remix of “Like Jennie,” a track from her first solo LP “Ruby,” her agency Odd Atelier announced Friday.
“Like Jennie,” which Jennie participated in writing and composing, carries a message of staying true to oneself and shining confidently without sacrificing individuality. With its addictive chorus and powerful choreography, the track has proven itself as a global hit.
Peggy Gou is a trailblazing Korean female electronic musician who has performed at major global music festivals including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US, Glastonbury in the UK, Primavera Sound in Spain and Fuji Rock in Japan.
Since its release, “Like Jennie” has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. “Ruby” reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 main albums chart in the US. In its first week, “Ruby” sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
Meanwhile, Jennie is set to perform at the Coachella in Indio, California, the next two weekends, on Sunday and April 20.
