About My Hero Academia

Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series ended after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.

The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with Season 7 concluding on October 12, 2024. You can also read our review of the entire season.

The franchise also got four movies, with the latest one being My Hero Academia: You’re Next. The movie released on Blu-ray & DVD in Japan on February 19, 2025 and included a new anime with an original story by Kohei Horikoshi. It is set to stream on Netflix from April 20.

In the meantime, you can also check out the ongoing My Hero Academia: Vigilantes spin-off anime, which is set 5 years before the events of the main story.
