Myanimelist recently published demographic data of its users by gender and age and also gave detailed insights into the viewership of three anime series from the Winter Season 2025. We summarize.
More male users
With impressive 19.5 million registered users, Myanimelist is undoubtedly the largest anime database website in the world, whereby the gender distribution of users is 70 % male and 30 % female.
Only 1 % of the painting users come from the anime home of Japan, whereas the United States are strongest with 20 %. In addition, a total of 90 % of users are under 34 years old.
The evaluation of this general data is the result of a cooperation with Partner, which was also extended to three popular anime titles of the Winter Season 2025-namely the third season of “Re: Zero-Starting Life in Another World”, “From Bureaucrat to Villainess” and “Zenshu”, the results of which look as follows:
