NCT’s Mark revealed his fanboy side after meeting CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa.

On the 17th, Mark appeared as a guest on Yong-hwa’s YouTube channel ‘LP Room’. Currently promoting his first solo album, ‘The Firstfruit’, Mark talked about his life stories, shared his personal music playlist, and jammed with Yong-hwa for a special performance.

Mark’s Life OSTs

Track 1. I Had Some Help – Post Malone
Track 2. Girl – Lee Moon-sae
Track 3. Still – Hillsong Worship
Track 4. Too Much – MARK

Mark admitted that he personally wanted to guest on LP ROOM by saying, Honestly, I really wanted to come on LP Room. I’m such a big fan of yours, and CNBLUE, too. He also recalled fandom memories and how Yong-hwa’s songs became part of his childhood: The first album I ever bought with my own money was CNBLUE’s Bluelove.

To further delve into his fanboy side, Mark added, I really enjoyed watching ‘We Got Married (WGM)’ back in the day. He also mentioned that after becoming a trainee in Korea, he went on a ‘WGM pilgrimage’ and visited places where Yong-hwa filmed on the show. He said, It’s really off the record, but I also found the tteokbokki place that Yong-hwa sunbae went to with Seohyun noona. For context, Yong-hwa appeared as a virtual couple with Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ and were referred to as ‘YongSeo Couple.’

Mark also talked about his trainee life and shared that he worked really hard and never got scolded, bagging the ‘Hardest Working Trainee Award’ for three consecutive years. With this, Yonghwa commented, You had talent but also worked hard. That’s the scariest kind of person. We can’t beat that.

To end the episode, Mark sang a duet with Yong-hwa with a song he picked from his Life OSTs, Lee Moon-sae’s ‘Girl’.

Meanwhile, Mark’s solo album ‘The Firstfruit’ has received great responses since its release. Its initial sales exceeded 540,000 copies, and Mark has already bagged two music show wins for the title track, ‘1999’.
