ONE PIECE has announced a special Bonney & Kuma special recap episode for next week, which means Episode 1129 will be delayed and premiere on May 18. The title of the episode will be “Dr.Chopper’s Adventure Checkup -The Ballad of a Father and Daughter-” and it will retell the stories of the two as we get ready to learn more about Kuma’s past. You can watch the preview for the episode below (it will also be available on Crunchyroll at the end of Episode 1128).
The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the legendary series exceeded 500 million circulating copies worldwide in August 2022. It also celebrated the 25th anniversary in 2022, while the anime adaptation started in October 1999 and is also still going strong.
The manga currently has 1147 chapters, with Chapter 1148 set to release on May 12. The anime is at 1128 episodes as of today, having recently returned from a 6-month hiatus to improve quality. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime.
