A product entry at the online retailer Amazon announced today that the publisher poly band Anime will bring the anime series »Pokémon XY« on DVD in a few months. We summarize the first details.
DISC release in June 2025
The first season of »Pokémon XY« will therefore appear on June 27, 2025 in a complete DVD, which, in addition to all 48 episodes with German language version, contains an episode guide as an extra. Further details about the equipment are still pending.
For the production of the series, which started in Japan in October 2023, the studio Olm was responsible for which Tetsuo Yajima (storyboard from »Ninokuni«) directed and Kunihiko Yuyama (»Punirunes«) acted as Chief Director.
A first German disc release took place in April 2018 by Studio Hamburg Enterprises. The publisher not only published the series on DVD, but also on Blu-ray. In the meantime, however, this edition has been out of print.
