An entry at Prime Video announced today that the anime adaptation of “The Knight in the Area” (Japanese: “Area no Kishi”) will be removed from the streaming service catalog in a few weeks. We summarize.

The 37-part football series “The Knight in the Area” can only be viewed by Prime customers with German language version and in the Japanese original sound with German subtitles until May 31, 2025.
The Studio Shin-ei animation was responsible for the production of the anime, which ran on Japanese television from January to September 2012, in which Hirofumi Ogura (“Tomodachi Game”) directed and wrote the script.
The original manga series by Shin Kibayashi and Kaya Tsukiyama was released from April 2006 to March 2017 in a total of 57 volumes by the Kodansha publishing house in Japan. The work has not yet been available in German.
