Sailor Moon fans have another hot item to look forward to in 2024. A manga collection based on the series’ early volumes by Naoko Takeuchi will be released this year by Kodansha USA.
Kodansha USA, the English publisher of the Sailor Moon manga, has announced a box set collection at San Diego Comic-Con in California. The upcoming collection will feature Volumes 1-6 by Takeuchi and is set for a holiday release this year. In addition to the manga volumes, the collectible box set will also feature 16 exclusive art cards. The manga box set is a “beautiful holographic box featuring a premium magnetic enclosure.”
A social media user on X (formerly Twitter) named @/LauraNeuzeth captured footage of the Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi Collection Manga Box Set 1 by Kodansha USA at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. As seen in the video, the exclusive art cards are illustrations by Takeuchi of the Sailor Moon cast. Sailor Moon and the Pretty Guardians are all represented here, as well as the handsome and mysterious Tuxedo Mask. The specialized packaging is decorated with a giant image of Sailor Moon’s Transformation Brooch. While it might not be as clear in the video, the exterior of the holographic box is decorated with glittering stars.
