The ‘Holy Night: Demon Hunters’ is an occult action film about a chaotic city caused by an evil-worshipping group and the ‘dark solvers’ who possess special abilities to punish them. Leading the movie is multi-awarded Korean actor Ma Dong-Seok, who participated in the planning, production, and casting, particularly choosing Seohyun for the role.

Seohyun plays the powerful exorcist ‘Sharon’, who can sense and defeat demons in the movie. The character shows a different appeal from her usual style — from intense-colored costumes, down to her hair, makeup, and accessories. This is Seohyun’s big screen debut as an actress after starring in several TV dramas for the past few years.
Seohyun debuted as a member of the nation’s girl group Girls’ Generation when she was 16, and has been in the industry for almost 20 years now. She talked about her experience as an idol and an actress and said, There’s nothing to be afraid of in my life right now. I’ve become stronger after going through countless things.
She also expressed gratitude for her members, whom she grew up with, It’s not easy to meet people like them in a lifetime so I’m grateful about that.
When asked about relationships, she stated: My standards for a boyfriend are really high. They’re up at the top. I want to meet a male version of myself. I’ve lived my life well, so I’m confident. I want to meet someone who’s lived as well as I have.
She also talked about how she survived in the entertainment industry without any scandals since her debut. She said, It is important to live a healthy life as a human Seo Joo-hyun before as a celebrity, as only then ‘celebrity Seohyun’ can be happy. I lived thinking, ‘I will not be shaken by this difficult world. I will stay centered, and no matter who touches me, I will go my own way even if someone tries to shake me.”

To end the interview, Seohyun shared her life’s motto: The final winner is the good person.
She mentioned that this has been her motto since debut and continued to live by these words until now. She explained that, People can choose to be evil. (But) life is unpredictable and you never know when it will end, so what’s important to me is knowing I lived with integrity.
Meanwhile, ‘Holy Night: Demon Hunters’ will be released on the 30th. Seohyun is also set to star in the new KBS2 drama ‘I Stole the Male Lead’, which will air in June.
