On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Taugen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood” it was announced today that it will start on July 11, 2025 on Japanese television. We summarize the details.

“Taugen Anki” is produced under the direction of director Ato Nonaka (Episode Director at “Fate/Zero”) in the Hibari studio. Yukie Sugawara (»Visual Prison«) writes the script and Ryoko Amisaki creates the character design.
The ending song “What is justice?” Comes from Band-Maid (Opening of “Platinum End”), while the opening song is contributed by the rock band The Oral Cigarettes (opening of “Yakuza fiancé”). A preview event will take place in Japan on June 21, 2025, in which the first three episodes are shown in the cinema.
The original manga series of the same name by Yura Urushibara has been published in Japanese “Weekly Shonen Champion” magazine since June 2020. The work is available in Germany by Panini Manga with German translation.

After the sudden death of his father, the heat -headed teenager Shiki Ichinosis learns that he has the cursed blood of the Oni – demons that have been fighting against the Momotarou hunters for centuries.
In the midst of this bitter war, Shiki has to decide which side he is on while dark forces awaken and its true origin comes to light.
