On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “A Star Brighter Than The Sun” (Japanese: “Taiyou Yori Mo Mabushii Hoshi”), it was announced today that it will run on Japanese television from October 2025. You can find a teaser below.

“A Star Brighter than the Sun” is produced under the direction of director Aya Kobayashi (episode Director of “My Love Story with Yamada-Kun at Lv999”) in the studio Kai. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (“Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun”) wrote the script, while Zeng Jinfeng contributes the design of the characters.
In the main roles of the Japanese speaker cast, Minori Fujidera (Hana Haruyama in “Flower and Asura”) as Sae Iwata and Yuuki Ono (Ise in “The Demon Prince of Momochi House”) can be heard as Kouki Kamishiro.
The original manga series of the same name comes from Kazune Kawahara and has been released in the “Bessatsu Margaret” magazine in Japan since June 2011. The Romance plant appears through Viz Media with English translation.
