There have been numerous Pokémon toys and collectibles over the years, with many of these emphasizing the cute nature of the catchable monsters. Now, the latest entries in a line of toys prove that the creatures in question are literally adorable enough to eat.
Produced by Takara Tomy, the Pokémon Yummy Sweets Mascots line combines familiar Pocket Monsters with delectable treats. Soon to be available in gachapon machines across Japan, this is the latest in a series that’s gone strong for several years. Uniting monsters from different regions with delicious desserts, these crank machine toys are the perfect way for Pokémon fans to cap off a meal.
As was the case with the previous waves in the series, the Pokémon Yummy Sweets Mascots line is all about featuring familiar monsters from the video game, trading cards and the Pokémon anime series with yummy-looking sweet treats. Be it parfaits, ice cream or cakes, these collectibles are certainly delectable, happily placing the Pokémon in question alongside the food. Now releasing in August 2024, these toys are part of the fifth wave of the line, which began back in 2022. The new figures consist of Galarian Ponyta, Paldean Wooper, Sprigatito and Swirlix, all of whom are placed on top of fluffy, ymouth-watering desserts.
