TOUGEN ANKI: Legend of the Cursed Blood announced several world premiere events, announcing that BAND-MAID will perform the ending theme song titled “What is justice?” The anime adaptation was announced in May, revealing numerous visuals in the following months to feature the main cast. The second trailer was revealed at the AnimeJapan last month.

The world premiere of TOUGEN ANKI will take place at AFA Indonesia 2025 in Jakarta on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The event will feature guest appearances by Kazuki Ura, who voices the main character Shiki Ichinose, along with other special guests. Following this, TOUGEN ANKI will also be showcased at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, which will run from July 3 to July 6, 2025. Kazuki Ura will appear as a guest of honor at the event.

Yura Urushibara writes and draws the TOUGEN ANKI manga, which has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since June 2020. There are 22 published volumes as of April 8, 2025. Yen Press began publishing the manga in English in September 2024.
The story follows Shiki Ichinose, an Oni, who is raised by a Momotaro father. Those with Momotaro blood are generally hunting those with Oni blood, but Shiki was raised by a supposed enemy despite his rather angry characteristics. Upon losing his father, Shiki gets into a situation where he has to learn to control his power as he tries to learn more about the whole situation and get his revenge.
