A product entry at Amazon announced today that Leonine Anime will publish the film “Weathering with You” (Japanese: “Tenki NO Ko”) in a new 4K Blu-Ray edition in a few weeks. We summarize.
4K new edition in May 2025
The new 4K Blu-Ray edition of »Weathering With You«, which is a black amaray, will be available in stores from May 30, 2025. This includes the film in German and Japanese as well as various video extras.
The approximately 112-minute evening filler was created under the direction of Makoto Shinkai (“Your name.”) In the Studio Comix Wave Films and started in Japan on July 19, 2019. Masayoshi Tanaka (“Suzume”) contributes the design of the characters.
In Germany, the strip celebrated its cinema premiere on January 16, 2020 before Leonine Anime released it on September 20, 2020 on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K-Blu-Ray. TV broadcast will take place on April 25, 2025 on ProSieben Maxx.
