While fans were eager to see G-Dragon that day, the weather was less than ideal for a concert. The nationwide wind speed in Korea reached 55 km/h (15 m/s), accompanied by extremely strong gusts, and the temperature in Goyang, where the stadium is located, dipped to -5 degrees Celsius. However, neither the cold nor the strong winds could dampen the fans’ enthusiasm.
Before the concert commenced, the organizers informed the fans about the delay and explained that it was due to safety concerns stemming from the weather. As a result, last-minute modifications were made to G-Dragon’s stage. G-Dragon could only repeatedly apologize to the fans who had waited in the cold, saying, I’m sorry. I’m sorry the show is late. I’m sorry it’s cold.
In response, the fans enthusiastically reassured him, It’s okay!
After such a long hiatus from performing, G-Dragon gave fans the time of their lives by performing songs from Big Bang’s 2006 debut up to his newest album, Übermensch, which was released earlier this year. He performed 25 songs over approximately three hours, despite battling a throat condition and having his setlist revised just before the show started.
G-Dragon expressed his immense gratitude to his fans, stating, Thank you for giving me your precious time so that I could stand on stage as a singer. (Thanks to you all) I was able to do it. I am honored as well.
He added, While preparing for my comeback, I continued to work without rest. I missed (the fans). We promised to meet, but it took a while to get back.
The chemistry between G-Dragon and his fans was undeniable throughout the concert. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement, enthusiastically cheering, chanting, and singing along with him. The show also featured stunning fireworks and a drone display, making it an unforgettable experience. Many Korean celebrities also attended the concert, including 2NE1’s Dara, Running Man members, Monsta X’s I.M, Kep1er’s Yujin and Xiaoting, among many others.

G-Dragon promised his fans he would complete one lap of the world tour and return quickly to perform again. He also announced a comeback for his group, saying, “Next year, BIGBANG will turn 20. We are (Generation) MZ,” which elicited laughter from the audience. He added, “When you turn 20, you have a coming-of-age ceremony. It’s a bit gross, but we’re going to have a very sexy coming-of-age ceremony.“
Throughout the concert, G-Dragon displayed hints of nervousness due to his throat condition. He told the fans, (Even if the performance) wasn’t up to par… I tried my best. I’ll do my best to take care of my throat. See you again soon!
