Despite being introduced well into the events of the series, Keigo Takami, also known as Hawks, quickly became one of My Hero Academia’s fan favorite and influential characters. The Winged Hero rose to fame both in-universe and among the story’s fandom because of his suave, unbothered personality and his powerful, versatile Quirk. With the My Hero Academia manga ending soon, Hawks’ absence from recent events has been quite noticeable, with many fans still being unsure of what his fate will be when the story ends. Hawks has one of the most complicated and impactful storylines in My Hero Academia.
He came face to face with the Hero Society’s ugly underbelly at a very young age, and for better or worse, thrived in this dysfunctional system. Hawks rose to become the youngest hero to be featured on the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart, peaking at Number 2. While he kept up an outward appearance of a wholesome and friendly hero, Hawks became the series’ main window into the shadier aspects of the Hero Public Safety Commission. Ever the optimist, Hawks consoled himself with the thought that his underhanded missions all contributed to a society without crime where heroes could rest easy.
