Netflix revealed the first trailer and release date for BETthe new live-action series based on the thriller manga Kakegurui. The show is led by showrunner Simon Barry (Warrior Nun), and it will release on May 15. Netflix describes the story:
The main cast includes:

- Come on solanke
- Eve Edwards
- Clara Alexandrova
- Hunter Cardinal
- Anwen o’driscoll
- Aviva Mongillo
- Ryan Sutherland
The trailer features some well-known characters, most notably the unpredictable Yumeko. You can watch the first trailer below.
Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler is a Japansese manga written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura. It began serialization in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker in March 2014, with seventeen volumes published as of July 2023. There is also a spin-off prequel manga Kakegurui Twin with story by Kawamoto and art by Kei Saiki that started in September 2015. Yen Press licensed both the manga series in English
In addition, the popular manga has received various adaptations, including two anime seasons by Studio MAPPA, as well as an adaptation of the Twin spin-off. There is also already a live-action Kakegurui series, which ran for two seasons and a movie.
