Attack on Titan is a hard-hitting journey of gut-wrenching themes and truths about life that are too difficult to accept. The anime offered its viewers the story of a lost world that was built upon blood and bones, which paved the way for more destruction and elimination of life. The Eldians forgot when they became tyrants, and their supremacy over the world came with a considerable cost.

This was the cost that future generations had to pay when everything that happened centuries ago came back full circle. Eren Yeager attempted to do something that was bound to happen sooner or later. Even if his decision to start the Rumbling is controversial, the undeniable ideology, no matter how twisted and unacceptable, fueled the catastrophic event that many have yet to understand.

The Eldian Empire, at the pinnacle of its rule, fell victim to infighting. The great families who had one of the Nine Titans succumbed to conflicts amongst themselves, spreading a fire that would engulf everyone. Seeing the death and destruction that his empire brought to the world, the last king of Eldia, Karl Fritz, sought to put an end to this bloodshed once and for all. He despised his ancestry and the things that Eldians did to gain power. As a last resort, Karl Fritz conspired with the Tybur Family to bring about Eldia’s end. He wished his empire to disappear from the face of the Earth, but he didn’t have the guts to go through genocide himself. So, he resorted to protecting a few remaining Eldians and offered them a temporary Paradise until the world decided to wipe them out completely.
