Suzaku Kururugi’s Complete Family Tree From Code Geass
----- ADS-----
As the dual protagonist/antagonist of the original Code Geass anime, Sir Suzaku Kururugi has had a massive impact on the franchise. His relationship with Lelouch vi Britannia and his status as a Knight of Twelve has put Suzaku right in the middle of some of the biggest events in Code Geass’ history.
But equally as influential as Suzaku is the rest of his family, who have all helped shape Japan’s past and its future, whether by acting as political leaders or terrorist revolutionaries. This article will go over the key members of Suzaku’s family tree, as well as provide a brief outline of their lives and influence over Japan and the wider Code Geass franchise.
The son of Japan’s last prime minister before the nation was conquered by the Britannian Empire, Suzaku Kururugi wanted the war between Britannia and Japan to end for the sake of his country and so had his father killed so that he could call for a Japanese surrender. Under the new administration of Britannian rule, Suzaku attempted to invoke change by joining the Britannian Military as an ‘Honorary-Britannian’ Infantyman; through an act of fortune (or perhaps misfortune) Suzaku found himself working under Earl Lloyd Asplund’s ‘Lancelot Program’, which saw Suzaku became the ace pilot of the Lancelot Knightmare Frame and spearhead the Britannian war effort against the Black Knight Rebellion group led by the terrorist, Zero.
