After a patient 3.5-year wait for Re:Zero Season 3’s highly anticipated return to Crunchyroll, the season’s premiere has leaked online, with the streamer joining Netflix in a terrible week due to a growing problem with mass anime leaks.
CBR can confirm that the first episode of Re:Zero Season 3 has been leaked onto torrenting sites online. The episode, released with French subtitles, comes some two months before its official premiere in October 2024. Crunchyroll is also set to stream the series in October. It’s unclear whether the leak connects to the streaming platform’s unexplained decision to pull the early screening of Re:Zero Season 3‘s premiere from Japan Expo Paris 2024.
Re:Zero Season 3, Episode 1’s leak follows several Crunchyroll anime that were leaked prior to their Spring 2024 season. The debut episodes of KonoSuba Season 3, Sound! Euphonium Season 3, The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases, Astro Note and As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World were all leaked several days before their scheduled release dates. This has seen some official production staff allegedly retweeting the leaked episodes, while others have called the leaks “incredibly disrespectful.”
